Code Of Conduct
This was a project I developed for my portfolio whilst applying at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany, where we were asked to interpret the statement 'A bigger message'. My concept was to select three international locations (Piccadilly Circus in London , Times Square in New York and Hachiko Square in Tokyo) that are known for their large advertising spaces and to manipulate them illustratively. You would usually find advertising boards with logos or slogans and I replaced these with internationally common social issues such as war, religion , sexism, homophobia , and racism. My statement was the fact that we are bombarded with more and more consumer and product messages as a human being, although I find it more important to confront the issues I inserted. The drawings were created by hand and scanned and I added the text digitally
